I recommend this company to everyone!!!Posted on Duc NguyenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Omar patiently answered all of my questions and tried to work with me to figure out a system that fit my budget. They came to my house on time to install the new system and replace the old ductwork, which was refused by another contractor as they said they could not work with circular vents. Plus, Omar's team was able to work in the attic space without the decking and save me money as the another contractor asked me to install the deck before they would come and fix my system. And last, the system is running great. Good job!Posted on Sandra L.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great team, they know their work. Why does my AC click but not turn on?
Clicking without the compressor engaging usually means the capacitor failed. The capacitor provides the initial surge of power to start the compressor motor. When it fails, you hear the click but nothing happens. Replacement restores normal operation. If you also notice the fan not spinning, capacitor failure is almost certainly the cause.
Can a dead thermostat cause my AC not to turn on?
Yes. A thermostat that fails to send the signal prevents the entire cycle from starting. If your display shows no reading or the system does not respond to temperature adjustments, the thermostat likely needs replacement. Sometimes wiring between the thermostat and outdoor unit fails instead, cutting communication.
Should I try to reset my AC before calling for repair?
You can try resetting your circuit breaker first. If it trips again immediately, stop resetting it and call us. You can also turn the thermostat off for 30 seconds and back on. If the outdoor unit still does not respond after these steps, professional diagnosis is needed. Do not repeatedly reset a breaker, as this creates a fire hazard.
What happens if my compressor failed and I just replaced it?
If your compressor failed recently and was replaced, the new compressor should work. However, if the unit still does not start, the issue lies elsewhere. Check the capacitor, contactor, and wiring. An improperly charged system after compressor replacement also prevents operation. If your new compressor fails quickly, have us inspect for underlying causes like incorrect refrigerant levels or electrical problems.
Is it worth repairing an old AC that will not turn on?
That depends on the repair needed and the unit’s age. If the repair costs exceed half the price of a new system and your current unit is over 12 years old, replacement makes more financial sense. However, for straightforward fixes like capacitor or contactor replacement on a relatively new system, repair costs less than replacement and extends your system’s life.
When your AC blower motor fails in the DFW metroplex, your entire cooling system comes to a halt. The blower motor is the heart of your air circulation system, responsible for moving conditioned air throughout your home via the ductwork. In Texas’s demanding climate, these motors work overtime during scorching summer months, making them particularly susceptible to wear and failure. Our certified technicians specialize in diagnosing motor issues ranging from worn bearings and electrical problems to capacitor failures and belt malfunctions. We service all major brands and can quickly determine whether your motor needs repair or replacement. Beyond just fixing the immediate problem, we examine the entire system to prevent future failures, including checking your ductwork condition for restrictions that could overwork the motor. Our comprehensive approach often reveals underlying issues that, when addressed, extend the life of your equipment significantly. We also offer preventive maintenance plans that include regular motor inspections and lubrication. If your current system is aging, we can discuss modern replacement options that offer improved efficiency and reliability. For homes experiencing frequent motor failures, our team can evaluate whether regular maintenance schedules or system upgrades would be more cost-effective long-term solutions for your specific situation.
The compressor serves as your air conditioning system’s powerhouse, and when it fails, you’re left without cooling during Texas’s brutal summer heat. Located in the outdoor unit, compressors face constant exposure to the region’s extreme temperature fluctuations, dust storms, and severe weather conditions that can accelerate wear and damage. Our expert technicians are equipped to handle all compressor-related issues, from electrical failures and refrigerant leaks to mechanical breakdowns and overheating problems. We begin every service call with comprehensive diagnostics to determine whether your compressor can be repaired or requires replacement. Many compressor issues stem from poor maintenance, refrigerant problems, or electrical complications that we can address before they cause complete failure. Our repair process includes thorough testing of associated components like contactors, capacitors, and refrigerant lines. When repairs aren’t viable, we’ll discuss energy-efficient replacement systems that can significantly reduce your cooling costs. We also provide detailed explanations of how proper system maintenance can prevent future compressor problems. For customers experiencing repeated compressor issues, we evaluate the entire system, including ductwork efficiency, to identify root causes and provide lasting solutions that protect your investment.
Refrigerant leaks pose serious challenges for homeowners throughout the DFW area, where constant system operation during extended cooling seasons puts extra stress on refrigerant lines and connections. These leaks not only reduce your system’s cooling efficiency but can also cause significant environmental and health concerns if left unaddressed. Our certified technicians utilize advanced leak detection equipment, including electronic leak detectors and UV dyes, to pinpoint even the smallest leaks in your system’s refrigerant lines, coils, and connections. The repair process involves more than simply patching the leak – we conduct comprehensive system evaluations to identify why the leak occurred and prevent future occurrences. Common leak sources include corroded evaporator coils, damaged line sets, loose fittings, and vibration-related wear. After completing repairs, we perform pressure tests and evacuate the system before recharging with the appropriate refrigerant type and quantity. Our service includes checking for proper system pressures and temperatures to ensure optimal performance. We also examine related components that might have been affected by the leak, such as the compressor and expansion valve. For older systems with multiple leaks, we provide honest assessments about whether new system installation would be more cost-effective. Additionally, we offer regular inspection services to catch potential leaks early, and our technicians can recommend ductwork evaluations to ensure your entire system operates efficiently.
